The IMobS³ LabEx management is backed by the following three entities:

- The International Advisory Committee : this committee, composed of international renown representatives, aims to take a neutral view outside. Through the analysis of the LabEx activities, these high-ranking scientific personalities are regularly (every 3 to 4 years) invited to make recommendations concerning the orientation and the strategic future of IMobS³ project.

- The Strategic Orientation Council : it is the decision-making authority of IMobS³ LabEx. It is under the responsibility of the Clermont Auvergne University President (host institution). It is composed of supervisory bodies representatives, economic partners (industrial groups, SMEs and competitiveness cluster), local authorities representatives (Auvergne Rhône Alpes Region, Clermont Auvergne Métropole). This council is in charge of the director appointment, the follow-up of the planned actions as well as the strategic orientations notably on the basis of the recommendations provided by the international advisory committee. The IMobS³ director is invited to present the progress of the project and proposals for new actions.

- The Steering Committee : composed of the LabEx director, the challenges managers and the representatives of the partner laboratories. This is the operational level. It is in charge of the implementation of the research, training and transfer policy. It presents an annual report of the project and proposes new actions to the Strategic Orientation Council.
